Iconoclast
Tidus is the first character we meet in Final Fantasy X. At only seventeen, he’s already a star in his city Zanarkand, the Ace for the Zanarkand Abes, a Blitzball team. Everybody idolizes him there, and Tidus loves everyone for it.
Tidus is very much a people-person, mainly because he hates being alone. It’s when he’s alone that his insecurities arise. When he’s alone he is haunted by his childhood, and his father Jecht.
Tidus’ world completely changes when a monster called Sin destroys the world he knows. Auron, Tidus’ father-figure and a guardian who was really good friends with Tidus’ father hands Tidus his father’s sword to fight with. They fight off a couple of Sin’s pawns, and then Auron picks Tidus up by his shirt, says to him, “This is it. This is your story. It all begins here,” and throws him into Sin’s portal.
Tidus wakes up one thousand years in the future in a world nothing like his own.
